MANILA, Philippines — Galeries Tower bid farewell to Alyssa Eroa, the team’s heart and soul, after they parted ways ahead of the next PVL season.
The HighRisers on Monday paid tribute to their star libero following a breakthrough quarterfinals run in the 2024-25 All-Filipino Conference.
“Thank you for the heart and dedication you poured into our team. See you on the other side of the court, Ly,” Galeries posted on social media.

Eroa’s leadership and tremendous floor defense turned Galeries’ one-win preliminary round into a first playoff appearance after they took down the No. 3 Cignal in the qualifying round.
The HighRisers pushed the Akari Chargers to their limits in their best-of-three quarterfinals series. But they fell short in both games, missing the PVL semis.
Eroa played her last game as a HighRiser in the quarterfinals as she is set to join a new squad after a year and three conferences with Galeries.

The 4-foot-11 libero found her way back to the pros after Galeries brought her back from a solid campaign in Marikina in the Maharlika Pilipinas Volleyball Association in 2023.
Eroa played her best conference in the Reinforced, where she was named Best Libero after defending the massive spikes of the foreign guest players.
With Eroa getting a fresh start in her career, Galeries needs to fill in some big shoes not only for the libero role but also the leadership gap left by its former captain.
