The Transportation Hall of Honor Committee is accepting nominations for induction into the South Dakota Transportation Hall of Honor.
The nomination deadline is Friday (May 20, 2022) at 5pm CDT.
Transportation Secretary Joel Jundt says the purpose of the Hall is to recognize individuals who have made a lasting, valuable and/or unique contribution to South Dakota’s air, highway, public transit or rail transportation system. He says contributions to consider when making a nomination are technological innovations, political activity, legislative accomplishments, creativity, time, cost saving efforts and economic impact on behalf of transportation efforts within our state.
Jundt says it’s important to note that your candidate may not be familiar to the members of the selection committee. Therefore, a detailed explanation of your candidate’s accomplishments is critical to the selection process.
Anyone is welcome to submit a nomination. Nomination forms are available online at https://dot.sd.gov under Featured Resources on the home page.
