No rain, no severe weather, no flooding. Overall, nothing big is forecast this weekend! The only thing of note is a Freeze Warning to start the weekend. It will be in effect from 12-9 a.m. Saturday when lows will get down to/get lower than 32° around the region. If you have any outdoor plants susceptible to frost, cover them up or bring them inside!
We can still see frost and freezes around this time of the year! That’s why we often say to hold off on planting until Mother’s Day. The average last frost occurrence is April 28th with the latest last freeze on record taking place May 27, 1961.
Other than the freeze warning, this weekend looks great! No rain with lots of sunshine and warming temperatures. Expect highs in the upper 50s/near 60° on Saturday. Then add about 10° for forecast highs on Sunday.
Our next chance of rain comes on Monday, ahead of an approaching cold front. Highs will be around 70° with a scattered rain chance arriving at night. That front will drop temperatures again for Tuesday and Wednesday back into the 50s. More rain chances exist for Thursday and Friday. The good news is they don’t look like heavy, big rains. That’s something we don’t need at all, given how wet April has been so far.
