On Saturday, political powerhouse FreedomWorks in partnership with local grassroots organization EZAZ.org, opened its first regional grassroots office in the country. The two groups hope to train and educate thousands of activists across Arizona, a key swing state in 2022.

Located in downtown Phoenix, the new office will be overseen by FreedomWorks Grassroots Director Merissa Hamilton. The 2,200 square foot building, located at 3326 N. 7th Street, has the capacity to hold up to 150 people.

Arizona Congressman Andy Biggs was on hand to help kickoff the grand opening and ceremonial ribbon cutting. Other speakers included State Senator Kelly Townsend, Representative Shawnna Bolick, Arizona State Senate Communications
Director Kim Quintero, Freedomworks Vice President of Policy Cesar Ybarra, and FreedomWorks Senior Fellow Rev. C.L. Bryant.

“With the opening of this new FreedomWorks office, Arizona will become a flagship state for grassroots organizing,” said Merissa Hamilton. “This facility will be the central hub for GOTV efforts, voter education, activist training, and special events during election and legislative cycles. As the premier grassroots organization in the country, FreedomWorks is committed to mobilizing, educating, and training the largest network of effective grassroots activists advocating for the principles of smaller government, lower taxes, free markets, personal liberty, and the rule of law. This new flagship office further demonstrates our commitment as a service center organization to the more than 46,000 passionate FreedomWorks activists here in the Grand Canyon State.”
