MANILA, Philippines—Former NBA player Dwight Howard is back in the country but not entirely for business this time.
Howard, who played in several NBA teams including fan favorite Los Angeles Lakers, returned to the Philippines on Thursday with his kids for vacation.
“Manila I’m back! Meet me at the airport now,” wrote Howard in his Facebook post with a picture of him and his children.

Just a few months ago, Howard was in the Philippines to train with Strong Group Athletics before their run in the Dubai International Basketball Championship.
SGA fell just short of the championship but not without the help of the NBA champion and former Orlando Magic star.
In Howard’s Instagram story, he was seen exploring some of Manila’s sites while also stopping by and taking pictures with fortunate fans.

Howard, the three-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year, also played some hoops at Activate Hoops Arena in Mandaluyong.
Several local players managed to link up with Howard, like PBA player RR Garcia, Petro Gazz’s MJ Phillips, and La Salle players Earl Jared Abadam and newly transferred Mason Amos.
Howard’s former team, SGA, is currently preparing for the William Jones Cup in Taiwan.
