Former Attorney General Eric Holder believes former President Donald Trump and his enablers will be indicted for attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

The 71-year-old legal eagle from the Bronx, who served under President Barack Obama, said on SiriusXM’s “Joe Madison The Black Eagle” that the Department of Justice may appear to be dragging its heels, but that’s just the wheels of justice turning slowly.

“My guess is, that by the end of this process, you’re going to see indictments involving high-level people in the White House,” Holder said Thursday.

Holder confessed that without knowing what information the Justice Department has, he can’t say what he would do in current Attorney General Merrick Garland’s position. But he said public corruption cases tend to move “gradually then sudden.” Holder expects that pace to pick up after the 2022 midterm elections.

“You’re going to see indictments against people outside the White House who were advising them with regard to the attempt to steal the election,” Holder speculated. “And I think ultimately, you’re probably going to see the President, former President of the United States, indicted as well.”

In the short term, Holder said he’s keeping his eye on the Peach State. That’s where investigators are mulling-over a recorded phone call the former president made to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger pressuring him to “find 11,780 votes,” that would allow Trump to overturn President Biden’s win in the state that last elected a Democrat to the White House in 1992.

“People argue, well, what was his intent? Really?” Holder said. “Put that before a jury.”

According to Holder, people in academia can debate the nuance of that matter, but he believes everyday people presented with the evidence against Trump will not get hung-up on technical aspects of legal theory.
