A 17-year-old escaped from the burning house safely. IFD reported that one cat died in the fire and two other cats are currently unaccounted for.

The blaze caused significant damage to the home, and a family of three was displaced. IFD indicated the family had been renting the house since January.

Firefighters brought the blaze under control in 15 minutes. Investigators believe an errant firework may have caused the fire.
