Watch as one by one Apollo & Athena’s kestrel chicks hatch out from their shells.

Apollo & Athena

This kestrel pair now have five hungry beaks to feed and Apollo is quick to take responsibility. Watch him head out to fetch food the moment he notices the fist chick has hatched.

Kestrel Chicks

The first three kestrel chicks hatched over the course of one, long, day. The fourth chick then arrived in the world the day after and it was another three days before the final chick hatched. This is in keeping with when the eggs were laid: on April the 17th, 20th, 22nd, 24th and 27th.
