On June 4, 2022, at about 1:00 a.m., Phoenix Police responded to multiple shooting calls in the area of 10th Avenue and Hatcher Road. Officers arrived as people fled in different directions from a strip-mall parking lot. Multiple victims were located at the scene and nearby.
Thus far, 9 victims have been identified:
1 unknown age female, who is believed to be an adult, was pronounced deceased after being transported to a local hospital.
2 adult females sustained life-threatening gunshot wounds.
5 adult males sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
1 teenage male sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Detectives responded and learned there was a large crowd gathered at a party in a strip-mall building when an altercation between multiple parties escalated into a shooting. The shooting apparently took place inside and in the nearby parking lot and roadway area.
