RICHMOND, Ind. — Feces and fire isn’t what one employee expected to find when starting his workday.
Tiffany Harsh, 39, of Richmond is charged with burglary, a Level 5 felony; arson, a Level 6 felony; and theft, a Level 6 felony.
According to court documents, the employee caught Harsh inside Angie’s Printing on Sheridan Street on Monday morning. Harsh had reportedly lit a fire and the inside of the business was full of smoke.
Harsh is also accused of destroying blueprints, stealing a tip jar and covering numerous papers in human feces.
The man who found Harsh held her down until police officers arrived on scene.
Harsh told police officers she had started a fire inside the business to stay warm. Police pointed out the temperature was in the upper 60s, but Harsh claimed to be “soaking wet and cold.”
Police said a smoking pipe fell out from Harsh’s sweatshirt which contained “burnt residue on the bottom of the bubble and a white residue inside the pipe.”
If convicted, Harsh could face up to six years in prison.
