INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD are investigating after a person was fatally shot at an east side apartment.
IMPD’s Capt. Don Weilhammer said, officers received calls of a person shot at the Reserves at Warren Park Apartments on the 9000 block of E. 10th St. When they arrived, they found an adult male suffering from gunshot wound(s).
He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
According to Capt. Weilhammer, the incident appears to be targeted, and while the suspect is still at large, he does not believe there is a threat to the neighborhood.
He urges anyone with information about this incident to come forward.
“We would really appreciate if people would give us a call that might have seen this because I find it hard to believe that even though it was at midnight, that nobody saw or heard anything,” says Capt. Weilhammer.
