BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — An explosion occurred at the Stone Belt Shrine Club’s in Bloomington on Tuesday afternoon, leading to one individual being injured.
According to the Stone Belt Shrine Club, the explosion was caused by a presumed gas leak, and did significant damage. One individual was in the building at the time, and sustained minor injuries.
The center will be shut down until renovations can be completed, which is expected to take well into 2025 to complete. The facility will host an open house when changes are complete.
