Madison, WI… Senator Joan Ballweg, incumbent senator for the 14th Senate District and candidate for re-election, has been endorsed by the sheriffs of Adams, Columbia, Juneau, Richland and Sauk counties.
“I proudly endorse and support Senator Joan Ballweg in this election,” said Columbia County Sheriff Roger Brandner. “She has been a fighter and champion for public safety, schools and our small community values. She has always taken the time to listen to us local leaders on what we need. She cares about our community. She is responsive, involved and has a commonsense approach. Joan has strong values and morals that are needed down in Madison. Joan brings great experience to the legislature as a small business owner, with her experience in local and state government and community insights. She has personally worked with us on ways to help reduce drug addiction, overdose deaths and to increase state money coming into our local counties. Joan is that voice we need as she works hard for all of us. She is a great supporter of our local law enforcement and fights hard to keep us safe.”
“First and foremost, I want to thank the sheriffs and law enforcement officers across the 14th Senate District for their work,” said Ballweg. “I am honored to be endorsed by this group of sheriffs and look forward to the opportunity to work with them in my role as senator for the 14th Senate District.”
Ballweg’s endorsements include:
- Sheriff Brent York, Adams County
- Sheriff Roger Brandner, Columbia County
- Sheriff Andrew Zobal, Juneau County
- Sheriff Clay Porter, Richland County
- Sheriff Chip Meister, Sauk County
Joan Ballweg was elected to her first four-year term in the Wisconsin State Senate in 2020 and is running for re-election. Throughout her time in the legislature, Ballweg has worked with members of both parties to enact legislation that supports our local communities and law enforcement.
