MANILA, Philippines — Chinnie Arroyo is making the most of the opportunity to showcase her skills with the Farm Fresh Foxies in the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
Arroyo was instrumental in Farm Fresh’s first win after scoring 11 points to torch Capital1, 25-16, 25-18, 25-16, on Thursday at Philsports Arena.
“I’m embracing my role because I never had this kind of bigger responsibility in my previous teams,” said Arroyo in Filipino. “This is my chance so I won’t waste this opportunity.”
The National University product, who was part of the UAAP Season 84 champion team, hardly saw action when she was part of F2 Logistics last year before its disbandment.
The wing spiker got an opportunity with the Foxies as part of the team’s nine-player haul including Caitlin Viray and Jolina Dela Cruz.
“My teammates are easy to get along with. I’m enjoying my time here,” Arroyo said.

Arroyo started embracing her bigger role right in Farm Fresh’s first game, where she scored eight points in their four-set loss to PVL defending champion Creamline last Saturday.
“We’re working hard in practice and applying it to the game. And our mindset is treating every match as a championship game. Win or lose, all of us should have a championship mindset,” she said.
Before going home, Arroyo and the Foxies watched the opening set of the Creamline-Akari game as they try to capture their second win against the Chargers.
“We will study their game so we can see what we can do in practice and then we’ll do what we have to do next game,” Arroyo said.
