Elliot Brown has earned his first opportunity in the NFL as the Cardinals signed the pass rusher to a futures deal on Monday.

An outside linebacker, Brown played two seasons in the Canadian Football League for the Edmonton Elks. He wrapped up the 2024 campaign as a West Division all-star with eight sacks, tied for the league lead, and 44 defensive tackles.

Prior to the CFL, the 6-foot-4 edge rusher spent five seasons at the University of Virginia.

The Cardinals also signed cornerback Ekow Boye-Doe and offensive lineman McClendon Curtis to “futures” deals. Future contracts kick in when the new league year starts in March.

Entering this offseason, the Cardinals’ depth at outside linebacker is fairly thin. Dennis Gardeck, Jesse Luketa, Baron Browning, Julian Okwara, and Victor Dimukeje are scheduled to be free agents. Plus, BJ Ojulari is recovering from his knee injury.

Brown had previously tried out with the Cardinals last month.
