SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The school in Edgemont, South Dakota went on lockdown this morning following a threat.
Authorities say the call came in just after 9 a.m. local time, saying a student had threatened to hurt a teacher and students.
Officials say the student had left the school and was believed to be walking home to get a weapon.
Fall River County deputies found the student and arrested him in his home.
He did not have any weapons and no one was hurt. The incident is under investigation.
