The eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 coming into the Denver metro are closed due to a serious crash near Golden, and the eastbound lanes of C-470 are also closed due to safety concerns from the crash.

The Colorado State Patrol said the closures are expected to last “through the morning.”

Interstate 70 eastbound is closed between the Morrison Road and C-470 exits, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation. The crash was first reported about 2 a.m.

C-470 eastbound is closed just before the U.S. 6 interchange.

The westbound exit ramp from Interstate 70 to C-470 is also closed due to safety concerns.
