RAPID CITY, SD (KELO) — A federal judge has sentenced an Eagle Butte man to more than five years in prison for illegally possessing a gun.
Officers found 25-year-old Devin Dolphus passed out in a running car at a gas station in New Underwood back in March.
They searched the vehicle and found a rifle along with marijuana, pills and syringes containing meth residue.
In August, Dolphus pleaded guilty to Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person.
Dolphus had two previous federal firearms convictions in 2019 and 2021.
