SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — We’re adding up the days of dry weather, and we’ll take a look at how long it’s been dry.

Even with a series of fronts this weekend, skies will remain dry. We’ve had many weeks with dry skies, and some in KELOLAND may get a streak of dry conditions to a full month or more.

While it was a cooler day on Friday, dry skies remained. The dry skies have dominated the first week and a half of the month with our last measurable rain dating back to last month.

Here’s a look at the current dry spell. The amount of consecutive dry days ranges from two to three weeks across KELOLAND. By the time we get our next drop, it may end up being close to a month or more of consecutive dry days.

That rain chance may end up showing up late next week and into the weekend. That’s when models are pointing to at least a chance for rain in eastern KELOLAND.
