SIOUX FALLS, S. D. (KELO) — Sioux Falls Police gave a breif update regarding a Tuesday crash near 12th Street and Western Avenue that closed the intersection for a time.
The South Dakota Highway was on a traffic stop when the vehicle fled from troopers and ran a red light, Police Sgt. Travis Olsen said during Thursday’s briefing.
The fleeing vehicle struck another vehicle. That second vehicle started on fire and the occupant was able to get out, Olsen said. The occupant had minor injuries.
The driver in the fleeing vehicle fled on foot, Olsen said. No details on that driver were available on Thursday.
