INDIANAPOLIS – Downed power lines closed part of I-65 on Indy’s north side Sunday morning.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, a section of I065 northbound and southbound between 21st Street and Fall Creek Pkwy S Dr. was closed because of downed power lines on the interstate.
INDOT posted an alert just after 5 a.m., alerting drivers of a “traffic hazard ” and stating that all lanes would be shut down for cleanup.
Numerous power outages were also reported in the area, according to area power companies.
The incident remains under investigation.
