MUNCIE, Ind. — An unhoused Muncie man was charged after he reportedly attacked an ex-girlfriend and stole her car.
Javon Hall, 30, was charged with the following:
- Robbery, a Level 3 Felony
- Felony in Possession of a Firearm, a Level 5 Felony
- Intimidation with a Deadly Weapon, a Level 5 Felony
- Domestic Battery – Deadly Weapon, a Level 5 Felony
- Auto Theft, a Level 6 Felony
- Interference with Reporting of a Crime, a Level 6 Felony
Officers with the Muncie Police Department were dispatched on March 31 to the 2400 block Walnut St on a report of battery. The caller told authorities that Hall punched her across the face until she had a black eye and busted lip.
When crews arrived they found the victim who claimed that she was battered by Hall, who is the father of her child, and a reported homeless man. The victim told police that the suspect attacked her after she confronted him for speaking to other women in her home. During the attack he allegedly grabbed a gun and stole her car.
Law enforcement said that the victim had significant injuries to her eye, lip, wrist, finger, and hand.
