Two advocacy groups who have a history of backing Democrat political candidates are attempting to get President Donald Trump off Colorado’s ballot in 2024.
On Friday both Mi Familia Vota and Free Speech for the People held a small rally in Denver, Colorado in order to garner attention from Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold so she will take Trump off the 2024 presidential ballot.
Shortly after the rally, Mi Familia Vota tagged Colorado’s secretary of state in a tweet and asked her “to use her power to enact Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment to bar Trump from the ballot.”
Grateful for everyone who showed up to our rally in Denver to tell the Colorado Secretary of State @JenaGriswold to use her power to enact Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment to bar Trump from the ballot. We must protect voters, election officials, and free and fair elections. pic.twitter.com/RSAh9uLgun

The Hill reported:
“Donald Trump violated his oath of office when he led the charge to overturn the results of the 2020 election. His actions only confirmed what the Latino community has long known: he is dangerous,” said Héctor Sanchez Barba, executive director and CEO of Mi Familia Vota.
“The disqualification clause in the 14th Amendment is clear: anyone who violates their oath of office is ineligible to run for higher office in the future. Secretaries of State have the power to bar Trump for the ballot. There is ample evidence as to why he is not fit to hold office again, now all we are asking is for a Secretary of State to act.”
BREAKING: We are urging @JenaGriswold and secretaries of state across the country to follow the mandate of 14.3 and bar Trump from their state ballots. https://t.co/1heL7Fraqi @FSFP @MiFamiliaVota https://t.co/tXkDBnUdaf

The move by Free Speech For People and Mi Familia Vota is completely ironic considering both groups aim to promote free speech and fair elections but at the same time the groups are attempting to silence the voices of millions of Trump voters in Colorado.
Secretary of State Jena Griswold has yet to adress Democrats’ calls for Trump to be taken off the ballot but if she ever entertained the thought, Federal Courts would more than likekly swoop in and strike down the motion immediately.
