PINE RIDGE, SD (KELO) — Authorities on the Pine Ridge Reservation are asking for the public’s help in finding the driver involved in a deadly hit and run crash.
According to the Oglala Sioux Tribe Department of Public Safety, law enforcement responded to a report of an unresponsive male lying on a highway between Pine Ridge and White Clay late Friday afternoon.
The victim later died at the hospital.
Police are looking for an SUV, possibly an S-10 Jimmy or Blazer, manufactured between the years 1998-2004 with damage to the passenger-side headlight and a grill possibly spray-painted black.
