Eighty-nine years after Social Security was created, Derrick Van Orden and his colleagues are trying to cut Wisconsin seniors’ hard-earned benefits.

This Congress, Van Orden’s party has endorsed $1.5 trillion in cuts to Social Security, including raising the retirement age and cutting disability benefits. He votedrepeatedly to jeopardize these programs, including voting to shutter or cut hours for 240 Social Security field offices and making it harder for seniors to access services.

80% of voters oppose plans to cut Social Security benefits by raising the retirement age, and 81% oppose any cuts to retirement programs.

DCCC Spokesperson Mallory Payne:
“Derrick Van Orden won’t stand up for Wisconsin’s seniors because he is all in on DC politicians’ plans to cut Social Security and deny seniors their hard-earned benefits. Voters will make sure to reject Van Orden’s dangerous agenda.”
