SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — McKennan Park, in central Sioux Falls, will turn into a hard-hat area, beginning this week.

On Monday, crews are scheduled to start removing the park’s old wading pool and bathhouse. Park visitors are urged to stay clear of the construction work.

It’s all ahead of upgrades to the park that will include building a new wading pool and bathhouse, starting in June.

The $4.7 million construction project is part of the City’s Capital Improvement Plan.

A private donation will add a concession stand, shading from the sun and a sculpture.
