INDIANAPOLIS – Crews responded to a fire at a home on the near east side early Thursday morning.
The Indianapolis Fire Department was dispatched to North Rural Street and East Michigan Street around 2:30 a.m. Crews encountered some light smoke upon arrival.
IFD said someone made a fire on the living room floor of a vacant home. Firefighters cut a hole in the floor to prevent it from spreading.
No gas or utilities caused the fire. No one was hurt, IFD said.
