MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ind. — A man is dead after police say he crashed his vehicle into a home in Crawfordsville Wednesday evening.

Officers with the Crawfordsville Police Department were dispatched around 5:26 p.m. to the 1300 block of East Main Street after receiving reports that a vehicle had crashed into a home.

CPD said officers arrived and found the front end of a tan 2005 Lincoln Town Car inside the front portion of the residence. Nobody inside the home sustained any injuries.

The driver, identified as 75-year-old Roger Hamilton, was transported to Franciscan Health Hospital in Crawfordsville where he later died as a result of injuries he reportedly sustained during the crash.

The Crawfordsville Fire Department and the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office also assisted at the scene.

The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information related to the crash is asked to contact CPD at 765-362-3762.
