Crawford’s grassroots campaign will report raising more than any Wisconsin Supreme Court campaign in history
MADISON, Wis. – Today, Judge Susan Crawford’s campaign for Wisconsin Supreme Court announced raising more than $2.8 million since entering the race in June 2024 — a historic sum and more than any Wisconsin Supreme Court campaign in history, including right wing extremist Brad Schimel’s campaign. In the period spanning July to December 2024, Judge Crawford raised over $2.4 million.
“As a prosecutor, attorney, and judge, I’ve always been guided by the same basic values of right and wrong that I learned growing up in Chippewa Falls,” said Judge Susan Crawford. “I’m honored to be on the ballot and grateful to have the historic outpouring of support from so many Wisconsinites in nearly every county. It’s more important than ever to have a common sense Justice on the Wisconsin Supreme Court who does what’s right, and over the next three months I’m committed to earning the trust and support of Wisconsinites across the state.”
Judge Crawford’s campaign is powered by grassroots donors from 71 of 72 counties across Wisconsin, and since launching her campaign in June, Judge Crawford has criss-crossed the state meeting with voters and highlighting how important this election will be. The campaign’s January Continuing Report, which is due next Wednesday, includes more than 8,000 contributions from nearly 6,000 individual donors. Judge Crawford is entering 2025 with over $2.1 million cash-on-hand – a historic sum and once again more than Brad Schimel.
Judge Crawford has served as a Circuit Court judge since 2018. Prior to taking the bench, she began her career as a prosecutor with the Wisconsin Department of Justice, holding criminals accountable and protecting community safety, and represented clients whose rights were violated as a private-practice attorney.
