SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) — Officers of the Sioux Falls Police Department were dispatched to a single vehicle crash near West 33rd Street and South Summit Avenue Monday morning.
A Ford F-150 pickup struck an Xcel Energy pole, causing several live power lines to droop just a few feet above the ground. Cars and pedestrian traffic are being diverted until the area can be determined safe.
The driver is in critical condition, but his injuries are not considered life threatening, according to a news release from the Sioux Falls Police Department.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
