INDIANAPOLIS — Monday afternoon’s commute was brought to a standstill after authorities responded to a crash on the westbound lanes of I-465 on Indy’s south side.
First responders were called around 3:45 p.m. to I-465 WB near S. 9th Avenue and Beech Grove in response to a crash. INDOT reported that the crash has closed the two left lanes on mile marker 52.5.
As of this article’s publication, INDOT or ISP has not confirmed how many vehicles were involved or if any individuals were injured.
The Indiana Department of Transportation’s traffic map indicated that a crash was also reported between I-465 and Hannah Avenue, with the right northbound lane being temporarily closed.
