SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — We are learning more about the man involved in two officer-involved shootings.

Samir Albaidhani, 25, is accused of shooting an officer in Sioux Falls, taking off in a stolen SUV, heading south on the interstate and then shooting at another member of law enforcement.

Court documents say he hadn’t been out of prison long. Albaidahani was released on parole at the end of October and was listed as a parole absconder.

He’d been serving time for burglary and grand theft in Minnehaha County. According to court documents, he has a history of stealing guns. We are digging into his criminal history and will have a full report later Wednesday on KELOLAND News.

Authorities confirm that Albaidahani was shot yesterday and was brought to the hospital. At this point, he has not been booked into jail.
