SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Even though temperatures were slightly below average in eastern KELOLAND Wednesday. It will feel warm as compared to what is coming for Thursday and Friday.

As we start the second week of August, temperatures will feel more like late September as highs will slide to the upper 60s and lower 70s. These numbers will be watched closely to see if they crack the top five for the coldest high temperatures.

This is where we stand for the coldest highs for tomorrow. The 60s and 70s cover the cities listed here. The coldest high for these cities is Watertown’s 61.

This is a look at the coldest highs for Friday. Though this time, Aberdeen and Rapid City have their coldest high in the 50s. 57 in Aberdeen and 59 in Rapid City.

Keep in mind that morning lows will fall to the 40s for the northern tier of KELOLAND. Even those numbers may have to be watched to see how they compare to the coldest lows.

While the cool air will last into Friday, we’ll eventually warm this weekend and into next week.
