A 33-year-old Florida man is accused of burying his father’s poodle while it was still alive, then laughing while telling police what he had done.

Tyler Crevasse reportedly told cops in Clearwater, Fla., that he wrapped his dad’s 18-year-old dog in a wet towel while it was still breathing, then buried it alive in the backyard of the home he shares with his father.

When Crevasse’s dad confronted him about having killed the poodle, the suspect allegedly punched his father in the nose two times. He told police his father came after him with a baseball bat after learning the unidentified dog had been the victim of vivisepulture.

Cops said they found the dog, dead, where Crevasse said he’d buried it.

“The defendant kept laughing while he was making these statements,” police reported.

According to cops, Crevasse felt the elderly dog was already dying. He said he buried it on Friday. The alleged dog killer was arrested for animal cruelty and domestic battery shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday.

Cops said the father and son had been drinking when they got into an argument about the missing dog’s demise. The victim was treated at an area hospital after reportedly being punched.
