Each month, ArtsATL concert photographer Perry Julien shares a round-up of his photos from shows at venues around town.
The gallery starts off with Atlanta’s own Yacht Rock Revue at Ameris Bank Amphitheater May 13 before a sold-out crowd. The band opened for that quintessential yacht rocker himself, Kenny Loggins.
Also on tap this month is an acoustic show by Michelle Malone at Eddie’s Attic on May 20, and Dead & Company at the Lakewood Amphitheater May 28 for what was heralded as the band’s final tour.
Bob Weir and Mickey Hart, two original members of The Grateful Dead, were on hand. Joining them were two musicians with deep Atlanta roots: John Mayer and Oteil Burbridge (Col. Bruce Hampton and the Aquarium Rescue Unit and The Allman Brothers Band).
The sold-out crowd was treated to almost four hours of classic Dead music. And be sure to check out Julien’s concert photo archives for more.
