COLUMBUS, Ind. — The Columbus Police Department is investigating the death of a man that led to the brief lockdown of Indiana University-Columbus on Wednesday.
Per a post to Facebook, CPD said the death of a 40-year-old man occurred in the IUC parking lot located on the 4600 block of Central Avenue. As a result, the university underwent a short lockdown.
Police said the public is not in danger and the lockdown has since been lifted, but the circumstances surrounding the man’s death still remain under investigation.
