INDIANAPOLIS – The Colts beat the Bengals 27-14 in the preseason finale on Thursday night at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati.

Colts starting quarterback Anthony Richardson played into the second quarter. There was good and bad from last year’s fourth overall pick.

He led a 12-play, 80-yard drive capped off by a nine-yard touchdown to rookie Adonai Mitchell, but he also threw an interception returned for a touchdown to Jordan Battle.

Richardson was sacked and fumbled on his final series of the night. He finished 8-of-14 for 86 yards, a touchdown and an interception.

The team’s top draft pick this season, Laiatu Latu, showed his potential to wreak havoc in the passing game early on by sacking Bengals quarterback Logan Woodside.

The Colts took control of the game in the second half behind two Spencer Shrader field goals and a Jason Bean one-yard rushing touchdown.

Running back Demetric Felton sealed the game with a 40-yard touchdown run with 1:41 to play in the game.

The Colts open the regular season against division rival, Houston at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sept. 8.
