There’s a new adorable resident at the Cincinnati Zoo and they’re asking for help naming her.The zoo welcomed a new 4-week-old cheetah ambassador from the Wildlife Safari in Oregon.The zoo posted a video of the cub on Tuesday asking for any good name suggestions.The zoo said after radiographs before the cub’s birth showed the mom was carrying a single cub.Zoo officials said when a single cub is born, the mom will not produce enough milk for it to survive.They said knowing this, officials said the cub would have to be hand-reared and the cheetah Species Survival Plan identified Cincinnati Zoo as the best place for this cub to be raised.The team at the zoo is caring for the female, 4-week-old cub behind the scenes. But, the zoo said they will be posting updates and sharing videos and photos as she grows.Once the cub is older, she will be a part of the zoo’s Cat Ambassador Program and join our other running cheetah ambassadors in the Cheetah Encounter, presented by Kroger.The cub is not the only baby at the zoo. The zoo’s penguins are currently sitting on two eggs and the zoo’s famous hippo Fiona is going to be a big sister, her mom Bibi is expecting a baby this summer.
