CARMEL, Ind. — Beer sampling, food vendors, giveaways and live entertainment.
The City of Carmel is home to a wide array of breweries, distilleries and wineries, many of which are independently owned and operated. On Saturday, the city is celebrating these community staples with its third annual Brews on the Boulevard event.
Running from 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Brews on the Boulevard will take place in Midtown Plaza and along the Monon Boulevard, Carmel said in a news release. Visitors will hit a trail and get the chance to stop by eleven different bars during the festival:
- Bier Brewery North
- Big Lug on the Prairie
- Danny Boy Beer Works
- Deviate Brewing
- Flix Brewhouse
- Fork & Ale House
- Peace Water Winery
- Sahm’s Ale House Village of West Clay
- Sugar Creek Vineyard & Winery
- Sun King Carmel Spirits
- Upland Carmel Tap House
In addition, the event’s website mentioned that breweries from all over Indiana will be offering unlimited beer samples with the purchase of a sampling ticket.
Carmel mentioned that there will be parking restrictions on Saturday from 8 a.m. to midnight. Designated areas will have “No Parking” signs, and there will be construction along 3rd Avenue from Autumn Drive to Industrial Drive. Carmel also stated that the following streets will be closed:
- Northbound Monon Boulevard from Walnut Street to the alleyway behind Sun King
- Southbound Monon Boulevard from 1st Street SW to Walnut Street
- Walnut Street from Monon Boulevard to Veterans Way
- Elm Street from 3rd Avenue to Veterans Way
- 3rd Avenue remains closed for construction from City Center Drive to 2nd Street SW
The good news is, there are still multiple free public parking garages and lots. That full list, a suggested detour map and further details of parking restrictions can be viewed here.
While the event is free, open to the public and family-friendly, visitors who are 21 and over can purchase sampling tickets at this link.
