Carlos Yulo recovered from an early fall and built a little momentum heading into two more final stints, finishing in 12th place of the men’s all-around finale early Thursday morning in the men’s artistic gymnastics competition of the Paris Olympics 2024.

Yulo took the floor in his final rotation and finished with a 14.333 there despite an upgrade in difficulty in his routine. He totaled 83.032 for the final.

“Okay lang,” Yulo said twice, clapping after seemingly going for broke in the floor exercise.

Yulo will have to work on his execution when he competes in the final of that event on Saturday.

Yulo finished strong in the vault, preparing for the Sunday final of one of his pet apparatuses by turning a 6.000 difficulty into a 14.766 total.

He was tied for the third-highest score in the vault, giving him some momentum heading into the individual apparatus finals.

Yulo had a 14.500 in the parallel bars to jump into 12th place heading into the final two rotations.

Yulo was slowed by the pommel horse, which started his rotation, as he slipped off the side and fell to the floor, generating 11.900 that dropped him to the bottom of the 24-man finale.

He rebounded slightly in the rings, using a 5.600 difficulty to collect 13.933 and move up the standings.
