The Tennessee Titans made a significant investment in quarterback Will Levis this offseason. Instead of waiting on former first-round wide receiver Treylon Burks to emerge as a No. 1 option, the Titans gave wide receiver Calvin Ridley a four-year contract worth $92 million and later signed veteran Tyler Boyd.

Two weeks into training camp under new head coach Brian Callahan, Levis looks the part. Part of the second-year quarterback’s early success is due to his connection with Ridley.

On Wednesday, the Titans were in pads again, and Ridley had perhaps his best training camp practice. The play of the day belonged to Ridley.

Here’s what Jim Wyatt of TennesseeTitans.com said about Ridley’s day:

Receiver Calvin Ridley was the star of the show on offense on Wednesday, as he made one big play after the next. Ridley made a spinning catch on the sideline, and he managed to get both feet inbounds. He made a similar play later in practice on the opposite sideline. Ridley’s biggest play, however, came late when he raced past defenders and caught a bomb from quarterback Will Levis way downfield. I had Ridley with five catches on the day, and it was his biggest one-day production in camp.
