SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The 85-year-old man killed in a crash that happened on Monday near Belle Fourche has been identified.
The Department of Public Safety says a truck was traveling westbound on US Highway 212 near mile marker 24 when the vehicle crossed into the eastbound land and collided head-on with a GMC truck.
The driver of the GMC, George F. Leach, was taken to a hospital in Rapid City with life-threatening injuries and later died from those injuries.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
