Firefighters are responding Wednesday afternoon to a brush fire in the Hollywood Hills.
The fire was reported in the 2300 block of North Solar Drive, just west of Runyon Canyon and near homes.
Mandatory evacuations were ordered for the Sunset Fire, which was estimated at 10 acres. The evacuation zone is for Laurel Canyon Boulevard (on the west) to Mulholland Drive (on the north) to the 101 Freeway (on the east) down to Hollywood Boulevard (on the south).
Details about how the fire started were not immediately available.
The fire is one of at least five burning in Los Angeles County as the region remains under a red flag warning. Decreasing, but still strong, winds are in the forecast through Thursday.
The windstorm began Tuesday just as the Palisades Fire broke out in Pacific Palisades on the LA County coast. That fire has destroyed hundreds of buildings and forced tens of thousands of people to evacuate.
