SOUTH DAKOTA (KELO) — Good morning KELOLAND! After widely scattered showers and t-storms yesterday, a few more showers have moving into northeastern KELOLAND this morning. Sioux Falls will likely miss most of those showers, but a stronger NW breeze is likely today.
The animation below shows the radar review the past 18 to 24 hours. A couple of those thunderstorms were strong to severe north of Howard last evening.
Some of the local rain totals near Dell Rapids are better than .25″. Most of the rain fell in local streaks, with plenty of gaps in between the storms.
Sioux Falls will likely miss the rain chances today as temperatures climb close to 80 this afternoon.
You can see the rain chances will stay mainly east of line from Aberdeen to Worthington, MN today.
Futurecast also shows a few isolated t-storms in the Black Hills by this evening. Some widely scattered rain chances are back for tomorrow in western SD, with a better chance of some scattered rain on Sunday.
