Boulder police on Friday were investigating what happened after two officers responding swiftly to a report of domestic violence confronted a man with a gun and shot and killed him.
The shooting happened just after 10 p.m. in the 1700 block of Baseline, according to a Boulder Police Department statement posted on Twitter.
The Boulder Police Department is currently investigating an officer-involved shooting in the 1700 block of Baseline.
One adult male is dead at the scene. No officers are injured. There is no threat to the community.

A caller reported that the man was coming to the home and was known to carry a gun, police said. Boulder police went to the home and were already there when the man arrived, the statement said.
“There was a confrontation and the man pulled out a gun,” the police statement said. “Two officers fired their weapons and the man died at the scene.”
Both officers will be placed on paid, administrative leave, police said, while investigators look into the sequence of events.
