SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) –They say ‘timing is everything’ and that couldn’t be more true for Sioux Falls’ newest sports bar.
Boston’s Pizza and Sports Bar, a national franchise that used to be in Sioux Falls years ago, has come back with a new location and a whole new look.
With college football and the NFL about to kick off their regular seasons, Boston’s thinks the timing is right to score big.
“We are back and we are excited,” President of ROI Hospitality John Warwick said.
Boston’s Pizza & Sports Bar is finally open.
It was once located on East 10th Street from 2004 to 2011, but now it has reopened at Western Avenue and Russell Street.
“The east side was a great location, but this spot is even better,” Warwick said.
That’s because of all the activities nearby.
“I mean we are across from the Arena, the convention center, the Denny Sanford Premier Center, Howard Wood Football and Track Field, the Canaries Baseball, it’s endless,” Warwick said.
The new Boston’s has the NFL ticket and 50 HDTV’s.
“It’s the perfect pre-game place to come and eat and have a beer or have some snacks and food or after the game or after the concert it’s just perfect,” Warwick said.
They have 80 items listed on their menu.
“And that’s pastas, salads, ribs and what we are known for, is made from scratch gourmet signature pizzas,” Warwick said.
Their pizzas have 15 different kinds of toppings. But don’t call it a pizza joint.
“We want to have a true sports bar, that’s my goal that’s my vision for it,” general manager Tony Cortez said.
But not just for fans to watch professional teams.
“I really want to get the high schools the colleges here involved and make this feel like this is there spot,” Crotez said.
Not only does Boston’s want to be the ultimate sports bar, they also want to be the ultimate team player in the community.
“Whether we are involved with you know a 5k or some kind of fundraiser, the Humane Society, or sporting events, it would be a nice break for my servers and cooks to be able to do something involving those events outside of what they do within sides these walls,’ Cortez said.
The Boston’s franchise has 400 locations in Canada, 27 in the U-S, with three more set to open next year.
