INDIANAPOLIS – A bench trial of a man accused of killing a pizza delivery driver two years ago is scheduled to start Thursday.
Justin Turner is charged with murder, robbery resulting in serious bodily injury and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Indianapolis Metropolitan police arrested him about two weeks after the March 30, 2023, shooting of 57-year-old Steve Flynn.
Flynn was delivering a pizza to the 1400 block of North Priscilla Avenue when he was shot around 11 p.m. He died at an area hospital.
Hs family believes he was lured to a vacant home and ambushed on the sidewalk. His car was also stolen during the encounter.
Family members said he was delivering pizzas to earn some extra money for his family.
