Tammy Baldwin and the GOP-aligned Senate Leadership Fund are up with new spots delivering their closing arguments in the U.S. Senate race as ad spending has topped what was spent on the 2022 campaign.

According to AdImpact, reservations in the race between Jan. 1 and Election Day are nearing $227 million. That surpasses the $217.8 million that AdImpact tracked between Jan. 1, 2022, and the November election two years ago as U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Oshkosh, beat Dem Mandela Barnes.

Since Jan. 1, Baldwin and those backing her have put up $121.9 million, compared to $104.8 million by Hovde and those supporting him.

But he’s had an advantage in spending over the final six weeks, and from today through Election Day, Hovde’s side has $11.1 million in reservations, compared to $7.7 million for Baldwin, according to AdImpact.

The latest ads include:

* Baldwin portraying the race as a choice between someone who “wrote the law requiring American infrastructure use American iron and steel” and someone who “invested millions in companies that outsourced jobs from Wisconsin.”

“Tammy Baldwin’s the one working for Wisconsin,” the narrator closes the spot.
