MANILA, Philippines — After an impressive stint in Taiwan, Jordan Heading is taking his talent to Japan in for the 2022-23 B.League Division 2.

The Nagasaki Velca welcomed the Fil-Aussie guard on Friday as their reinforcement under the Asian Player Quota for their upcoming Division 2 debut.

“I’m really happy that me and my family can be part of the Velca family,” said Heading in a statement.

“I would like to thank the management who believed me and gave me this opportunity. I will do my best to meet your expectations and exceed those expectations! I’m looking forward to the day when I can meet my teammates and Velca fans!”

The 26-year-old guard played for Taichung Wagor Suns in the T1 League in Taiwan, where he averaged 18.3 points 4.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.1 steals per game in 31.9 minutes of play.

He led Taichung to the finals but lost to Kaohsiung in the best-of-three titular series.

Nagasaki was promoted to Division II last May after finishing No.1 in the third division with a 45-3 record.

Heading will be in the same league with fellow Filipino Kobe Paras, who signed with Altiri Chiba.
