A single vehicle ATV rolled over in the early morning hours Monday, injuring a passenger and ejecting the driver, Edith Ochoa, who did not survive.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on Monday, September 23, 2024, just before 4:00 a.m., a 2017 Canam ATV driven by the 17-year-old Ochoa, with a man in the passenger seat, lost control while westbound on Beardsley Road from 47th Avenue after leaving the road and driving onto the dirt shoulder.
